"As of July 6, there have been 360 mass shootings in 2023. Guns are the leading cause of death for US children and teens. Something needs to change. SupportStore.com is dedicated to doing our part to help start the conversations needed to prevent gun violence.

Gun Violence is one of America's deadliest and longest running epidemics. 43,000 Americans die from gun violence every year - an average of 116 per day. Suicides account for 60 percent of all gun deaths. And there are communities across the country, many of them Black and Brown, where gun violence linked to decades of oppressive policies, is an everyday reality.

Firearm injuries affect people in all stages of life. Every 16 hours, a woman in America is shot and killed by a current or former intimate partner. In 2020, firearm-related injuries were among the 5 leading causes of death for people ages 1-44 in the United States. Not only are there deaths, and physical injuries, but there's also mental and emotional trauma that takes place.

Gun violence is an urgent, complicated problem, but it is not hopeless, there are solutions available. Nicole Hockley, co-founder and CEO of the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation says, ""Small actions can lead to big impact... Our key message is that gun violence is preventable, and we have actions that every individual can take in their family, community, schools, and with politicians. Don't back away. Be part of the solution.""
